Once published, writers often find themselves under pressure to produce
a second book within a certain time frame. This creates conditions under which it
can be difficult to be creative.
In the following interview by Julia Copus, I explain how publication led to a 5-year writing block, and reveal what needed to happen for my creativity to return:

NB. ABBA READERS: Although the talk is 25 minutes, it's well worth hearing. I listened with the pause button ready, so I could a) pause and think about the different stages of the talk and b) go and refill my coffee mug etc. along the way. I also started writing down some of Heather's phrases for myself - won't quote as you'll probably want to note down some of your own! What a great RLF initiative!
