Books and Unusual Forms of Transport - Joan Lennon
I use transportation, but I don't think about it a lot. And as long as I HAVE books to read on a train or a bus or in my handbag in case the car breaks down, I don't think about "transportation and books" a lot. But then, last week, I saw these two videos, which include unusual forms of transport and books. Which made me think.
there is a canoe which is a library in Africa and a llama which carries a "bookshop" in the high Andes - two projects which came out of International Literacy Year and which I was privileged to be part of in the planning. Does anyone know of books transported by camel or snowmobile? I am sure there have to some somewhere!
