This month I'm working on a project with a school in Stratford as part of the Stratford Literary Festival. There's a few other authors involved too (*waves* to Ann Evans, David Calcutt, Julie Fulton and Emma Purshouse) and it culiminates with a performance by children from all the schools on Friday night. This is the third year that we've done this, and I really enjoy it. The first year the theme was
Dreams and Wishes, and last year it was
Words Paint Pictures. This year it's
Different Worlds. That made me start thinking about all the different sort of 'worlds' we live in. There's cities, valleys, rainforests, mountains, deserts and even the 'floating city of Venice' where the canals replace streets.
There's a wonderful website which has pictures of unusual homes (
http://forums.designrelated.com/forums/7/topics/13,) I often use it for my workshops in schools. Here's one of the homes from the website:
Imagine what a different 'world' that is to live in!
If you could live in a different world, what would it be like?

I do a workshop with that website too! Takes Escape to the Country to a whole new level ...
Absolutely. Some of the homes are amazing.
Sounds fantastic! (And interesting images.)
Hope you and the kids have a great time.
Thanks, Penny.
Karen, the link to your website doesn't work - it goes to an Outlook login page
Thanks for letting me know, Ann.
