Happy World Book Day by Lynda Waterhouse

It's 5.22 am and I am up and on my way to an author event so please excuse my incoherence. Following a blip in the universe I have already posted but wanted to say 'Happy World Book Day!' Would love to hear what everyone is doing? How do you feel about it this year?

Will take the toddlers into the library before we do the park - finally, beautiful dry and sunny weather!

Hope it went well Sarah. I was working with Year 7 and Year 8's at an event organised by a wonderful school librarian. Met loads of students who were passionate about reading.

That sounds inspiring, Lynda.

Something else about libraries that I don't think anyone has said: when you have tiny ones, they are a Godsend in the winter months, the wet weather. I have two boys, and if I don't take them out of the house, they are bouncing off the walls. And for months, the park has been a sea of mud. Our library has been a port in a storm.
