  4. Great--and really ties into the 'Dark YA' debate sparked by Megan Cox Gurdon's idiotic comments in America.

  5. Thanks for your comments! It was fun to do and great to be part of this fantastic event!
Lucy, you're so right about the tie-in and I think edgy teen/YA fiction is something that needs lots of debating.

  7. Sue, yes, they really did - and we didn't have to twist their arms too hard either!

  10. Brilliant video - so nice to hear young voices reading! And pairing these edgy books together was inspired. I agree that kids need a place to explore issues, and books are absolutely that place as far as I'm concerned.

  11. This was so well done - a great promotional trailer for both books. I would have liked the discussion between the two of you to have continued though. Maybe in another post? Or have I missed it?!

  12. Great stuff! I agree with Sue that I'd have liked the discussion between you two to continue for longer. Fab idea to have the kids reading the books, too.

  13. Thanks for your comments. I think we thought our bit should be kept as short as possible. But maybe we will do another video about Edgy fiction, with our group, The Edge and then the discussion can go on.
