I totally agree that just getting feedback from children, seeing their engagement with reading, is the best reward possible.Leilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02890097085059764567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7780182174577095197.post-61304351235750925912010-05-18T08:12:40.655+01:002010-05-18T08:12:40.655+01:00This isn't a 'one off'. It seems to me that this activity takes place under the water line and is rarely referred to in the press or in worthy newspaper pages about books (or in any of the big book shops!). IT's painstaking and hard work for the people concerned but it breathes life into out books, it gives them an audience they wouldn't otherwise have had. Bravo to this group who organise these things. And congrats to Savita Kalhan for being there.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06677754304058294713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7780182174577095197.post-82882133167976037242010-05-18T08:08:41.878+01:002010-05-18T08:08:41.878+01:00Well done Savita, good to have got to know you sin...Well done Savita, good to have got to know you since you joined the SAS and this is a wonderful blog about a very well deserved award. What made it so great was the sheer enthusiasm of the kids, plus the professionalism of the staff organising it. Although it was the first one they'd run, it was brilliantly put together.<br />Hope to see you at more 'dos' in the future!Rachel Wardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05715389519195155154noreply@blogger.com
